“We waited upon the Lord”, said Bernadette Jackson, the grandmother of 10-month-old Kenneth Prince, who was at four months old diagnosed with a hole in his heart. The woman was elated and gave God thanks. She lately returned from India where her grandson underwent a successful heart surgery.
According to Jackson, the child’s grandmother, Prince underwent four surgeries which included the repair of a valve, the placement of a valve, blockage for the hole in the heart and the removal of a “flap” that was over his heart.
The woman further stated that according to the surgical doctor, the child can now live a normal life since he is “medically alright”
However, the infant has to be under continuous medical treatment and will need to go to Canada next year for a “check up”.
According to Jackson, the infant gained five pounds since he has undergone surgery. He will be one year old on January 16, next.
Kenneth Prince was at the stage where the only hope of him having prolonged life rested on him undergoing the surgery which was carried out in Delhi, India at Max Health Care.Funds for the surgery were obtained through the assistance of numerous kindhearted citizens, especially Hamley Case, who also pledged his continued support throughout Prince’s life.
Other kindhearted citizens and organizations included The Three Rivers Foundation, Giftland OfficeMax, Adam Harris, Full Gospel Church and Nigel Johnson among others.
