K&S takes care of related expenses
The seven (7) Guyanese players selected to take part in FC Santa Rosa (Trinidad and Tobago) organised trials hosted by US Major League Soccer side Sporting Kansas City, formerly Kansas City Wizards leaves Guyana today for the Twin Island Republic.
Co-Directors of the K&S Organisation, Kashif Muhammad (left) and Aubrey Major (right) pose with six of the players who will attend the trials. From left; Richie Richards, Devor Dennis, Colin Nelson, Chris Camacho and Clive Andries. Missing is the Linden duo of Clive Nobrega and Ryan Crandon.
The players were yesterday hosted briefly by the Kashif & Shanghai Organisation which has undertaken the responsibility of taking care of airfare, accommodation, meals and stipends while they are Trinidad.
Speaking with the players, Kashif Muhammad reminded them that this opportunity does not come often so they need to make full uses of this chance.
Last week at the Georgetown Club, President of FC Santa Rosa Keith Look-Loy made the disclosure about the trials and encouraged the players to their best.
Some 50 players from around the Globe will be participating in the trials from Western Africa, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Trinidad and Tobago.
The players Look-Loy had said will be between the ages of 17 to 22 with a few from France and at least one from Brazil.
The players travelling are Richie Richards and Chris Camacho – Alpha United; Clive Andries and Devor Dennis – Buxton United; Clive Nobrega and Ryan Crandon – Milerock FC and Colin Nelson – Beacon.
Technical staff of Sporting Kansas City will be present to assess the talent of the players who will be involved in three (3) matches in the Twin Island Republic from December 2-5.
This initiative Look-Loy stated was entirely about making opportunities available to the young players.
The players expressed gratitude to both the Kashif & Shanghai Organisation and FC Santa Rosa (Keith Look-Loy) for making this opportunity available for them while promising to do themselves and Guyana proud.
