Kitty resident, Stanley Mark-Clement, 38, is alleging that he was severely beaten at a popular Station Street, Kitty bar by an alleged drug dealer and his associates, Tuesday night.
He is appealing to the police to investigate the injustice that has been meted out to him.
“Me and my friends were drinking at the bar, and a guy (name given) and me end up in an argument. The owner for the bar and he friend was there. And somebody vice me from behind and I get a set of lash to face.” The peeved man disclosed.
Clement said that some persons had an issue with a firearm that was discharged in the area. “One man said that is me that shoot the gun, but wasn’t me. They take away my cell phone, my gold wristwatch and I had a $120,000 in my pocket that they take that away too.”
The frustrated Clement then said that after making a report at the Kitty Police Station the said night, he received a medical certificate at a private hospital in the city and returned it to the police station.
“A Sergeant from TSU then planted a gun on my friend and made him get lock up…they take advantage.”
The injured man is alleging that the police know exactly who his attackers are, and it appears that they are reluctant to apprehend the suspect. “I need to get back my watch and money.”
He is also alleging that well known police officers were sporting with an alleged drug dealer who is also well known in society, and it appears as if the police will not give him justice.
Last Tuesday night an ex-policeman, who allegedly opened fire at a popular bar in Kitty, was taken into police custody. Kaieteur News understands that the incident happened shortly before midnight last Tuesday.
This newspaper was told that the former lawman was seen discharging the firearm.
A .38 Taurus revolver and five matching rounds along with one spent shell were found at the scene.
