The 2010 Queensway National Full Bore Rifle Shooting Championships of the Guyana NRA continued yesterday with shoots at 300, 600 and 900 yards.
At the end of the Second Day, Fullbore Captain, Mahendra Persaud held onto a slim 1 point lead over his Commonwealth Games teammate Ransford Goodluck. Goodluck Shot a total of 132 points with 9V-Bulls to win the second day’s aggregate. He placed second at 300 and 900 yards with scores of 48:4 and 49:5 respectively and first at 600 with a possible 35:0.
Persaud paced second for the day in which he won both the 300 and 900 yards range with scores of 48:5 and a possible 50: 3 at 900 yards. At 600 he was second to Goodluck with a score of 33:2. Lennox Braithwaite remained in third position after shooting 127:7 V’s consisting of 48:2, 33:1 and 46:4 respectively.
The Overall Position is as follows:
Mahendra Persaud – 215: 19
Ransford Goodluck- 214: 16
Lennox Braithwaite- 209: 13
Dane Blair – 208: 14
John Fraser – 206: 11
Ryan Sampson – 203:12
Claude Duguid – 193: 04
In the “O” Class, Peter Persaud remained in the lead after shooting 122:6 V’s – 46:4 -1St , 34:2 -1st and 42:0 – 2nd He was followed by Lt. Col Terrence Stuart who shot 44:1- 2nd , 31:3 2nd and 43:2 – 1st to total 118:6 V’s.

Terry Stuart – 190: 08
Charles Deane – 172: 04
The Championship continues today where the riflemen will be at the 500, 600 and 1000yds ranges.
