Police have detained two men suspected of digging up the corpse of a 14-year-old girl from a Corriverton, Corentyne cemetery and sexually violating her remains.
Shocked residents who were strolling through the area around 06:30 hrs yesterday discovered the nude corpse outside its tomb.
Police sources said that there were abrasions on the body’s thighs and hands and it appeared to have been sexually violated.

The teen was then given a second burial.
