The Management and members of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club would like to offer profound congratulations to Mr. Hugh Ross, a honouring member of the club on his historic achievement of being crowned Mr. Universe in his category.
All of us at Guyana’s leading youth and sports organisation are very proud and elated at our beloved friend’s achievement and salute him on confirming to the rest of the universe what we already knew – that he is the best.
Mr. Ross, who hails from the quiet rural village of Eversham has made all his fellow Berbicians proud of him especially the youths who viewed him as a positive role model. This achievement has been achieved due to sheer hard work, dedication, personal sacrifice, tears, sweat, faith in God and his determination to prove to the world that he is the best.
Hugh became a honorary member of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club in 2007 and has worked along with us to make a positive difference in the lives of less fortunate children. Secretary/CEO of the club Hilbert Foster recently met Mr. Ross during a visit to New York and he was brought up to date of the personal sacrifice that the champion had to make to continue making his homeland proud.
As the country celebrates this hero, the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club would like to call on the Government of Guyana and the business sector to not only honour him but to make sure that he is rewarded with financial support he needs to continue on the road to more stardom.
We at the club would honour him in a special way whenever he visits Guyana. May God continue to bless and guide our dear friend Mr. Hugh Ross and may he continue to make all of us proud in the future.
