Wellwoman and 4R Lioness to play at Crabwood Creek
The Open category of the General Marine Male 15/15 Open Softball cricket Competition which is run by the Guyana Floodlights Cricket Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sports begins this Sunday.
Any age is eligible to play, winning prize is $50,000 and a Trophy, Runner Up will collect $25,000 and Trophy, Man-of-the-Match in Final gets $5,000 and Trophy.
In an effort to standardize balls, only the Yellow Supreme marked “Floodlights” will be used. These balls are available at 4R on Duncan Street, Mike’s Pharmacy, Bargain Supermarket (UG Road), Trophy Stall and Survival Supermarket.
The competition is a knockout one and the finals will be played together with the Female and Over-40 Male finals on December 5 at the GCC ground, Bourda. For further information contact can be made with the GFCA Organizer Wayne Jones at telephone numbers 650-1790 or 225-0994.
