Mrs. Sheila Holder is at it again

Dear Editor,
I have written several times in my column that Sheila Holder of the Alliance for Change (AFC) is of old political culture. I have serious problems with Mrs. Holder’s attitude towards a new philosophical thinking in politics.
My understanding is that Mrs. Holder has been saying the most critical things about Michael Carrington’s candidacy for the AFC’s presidential slot.
I think and know that Khemraj Ramjattan is the best candidate to lead the AFC into next year’s election. Mr. Ramjattan is a better politician than Michael Carrington and will bring in more votes.
But it is Carrington’s right to compete and for that he should be encouraged and admired. I would urge Mr. Carrington to persist with his pursuit and I would urge other young men in the AFC to compete for both the presidential and prime ministerial positions at the AFC’s conference today (31-10-10).
It is a break from old politics when others can have the courage to challenge the big names like Ramjattan and Trotman. I know Ramjattan extremely well and I know not for a moment would he discourage Carrington.
It is obvious to me that Carrington will lose out, but why seek to persuade not to contest. I have become extremely disappointed with Mrs. Holder.
I believe she has markedly digressed from the superior culture of the WPA when she represented that party in Parliament
My choice in the AFC is Ramjattan for the presidency based on the rotation principle and Trotman for the PM slot. If Ramjattan declines then I would like to see Trotman be the lead man for the AFC in the election.
If Trotman declines too, I would like to see Cathy Hughes be the AFC’s presidential candidate.
The AFC is on a roll and together with Benschop’s Independent and the PNC running separately, the PPP should lose the elections.
I hope the AFC does nothing foolish to make the PPP return to power. I close by saying that the AFC, the PNC, Guyana Action Party and Benschop’s party can call on me anytime for whatever help I can provide.
I am willing to work 24 hours everyday for the defeat of the PPP. Guyana will not survive another PPP’s term in office.
How can any nation retain in power a group of philistines and donkeys that can put a police office on the lawns of Castellani House?
These people do not have commonsense, muchless intellectual learning
