Under the theme “Working to Secure a Clean Energy Future for Guyana” the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) will be hosting its National Energy Week during the period October 25 to October 31, 2010.
According to Head of Energy Statistics Division, there will be a week of activities that include; daily quiz during the week to be aired on voice of Guyana (V.O.G) from 16.05 hrs to 16.25 hrs for the week of activities, a live panel discussion on energy to be televised on NCN Channel 11 on October 29, 2010 from 19:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs, architecture seminar to promote energy efficient building designs to be held today from 14:00 hrs at the Umana Yana, Kingston.
This seminar will be targeting architects, building contractors, building material suppliers, policy makers and the general public.
And finally a National Energy exhibition will be held at the Umana Yana from today, from 13:00 hrs to 19:00 hrs daily.
This exhibition will provide a unique learning opportunity focused on renewable energy and the effective and efficient use of energy. The exhibition will be open to the public. Schools are invited to attend and participate at this display.
