Wasim Hasnoo in a time of 2hrs 10 minutes won the Ramsarran Singh memorial 50-mile cycle race which was organized by the Flying Aces Cycling club and sponsored by Paul Singh’s Bakery.
The event which begun in front of the Singh’s bakery at Port Mourant and proceeded to No66 village and back to the place of origin, was only for cyclists from Berbice. Hasnoo was followed across the line by pre-race favourite Neil Reece. The two men took all the prime point prizes with Reece grabbing 8 and Hasnoo the other two. Nashane Jaundoo, Ray Millington and Rohan Persaud occupied the other three spots.
Reece was also first across the line in the junior category followed by Jaundoo and Millington. The first female across the finishing line was Crystal Crawford while the first juvenile to finish was Jubar Crawford.
