Cricket lovers along the lower East Coast corridor are gearing up for keen action when K & S Grocery Store and Beer Garden stages a six overs softball cricket competition under floodlights, scheduled to get underway at the Better Hope Community Centre ground on Saturday October 23.
The winning team takes home $140,000 and a trophy while the runners-up receive $40,000 and a trophy. The team occupying the third-place wins a ram sheep and a trophy while the Man-of-the-match in the final will also win a trophy.
The competition is sponsored by Andrew Arts, Banks DIH Ltd, Rent a Tent, Deb’s Hangout Bar, Mark Rich and Royston’s Taxi Service.
Participating teams will contribute an entrance fee of $15,000 at registration and those interested in further details may contact Samaroo on 220-8886 or 682-0376.
