The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) has disclosed that the ‘MM’ registration identification series is coming to a close and soon it will start issuing ‘NN’ numbers.
‘MM’, according to the revenue agency, commenced on August 11, last year but the country has over recent years been seeing a record number of vehicles hitting the roadways.
“The series ends when nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine (9999) vehicles are registered by the Licence Revenue Office,” GRA said yesterday in a statement.
“Chief Licensing Officer, Mr. Khurshid Sattaur, has already given his approval for the new “NN” series which is expected to commence on or around October 22nd, 2010. The GRA would like to thank the public for their cooperation during the period of the “MM” series, and is looking forward for continued support during the new series.”
