Following a successful Emancipation Day tournament staged at the Flamboyant Club, Eccles EBD, the executives of the Guyana Draughts Association (GDA) recently organized another tournament, this time at the Port Mourant Community Centre, Corentyne Berbice to coincide with the recently staged Interactive Day, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport.
M Suesankar emerged victorious after amassing 28 points followed by Y Somwara who scored one point less. R Ramdass closed off the podium spots with 26 points
Activities were coordinated by President of the GDA, Mr. Jairam while the trophies were donated by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
