Lateness is de normal thing in Guyana. People does set time fuh a meeting and tun up late. De other day, dem boys seh that dem get invite to a 10 o’clock function at de Amerindian Hostel in Princes Street. De Minister didn’t come till 10:20. De American Ambassador was on time and he had to wait.
Newscasts does seh that dem gun start at one time and dem does start late. Prime News is 6:30 but if does start at 6:38; Capitol News is seven o’clock but it does start sometimes at 10 o’clock; NCN suppose to start six o’clock and does start 6:15.
But dem got more stupidness. Dem boys seh that de police does stop a minibus wid somebody who got drugs. Instead of locking up de man who got de drugs, dem does lock up de whole bus. If that ain’t stupidness then nutten is.
But de most stupid got to be Smoothie Adonis. He con suh much that he whole life is con. He get a young gyal to believe that he live overseas and he trouble she. This time he got he children mother who decide that she gun fight fuh she man. She snatch de li’l gyal (dem call it abduct) and expose de scam that Adonis pull pun de hotel.
Is now de hotel people thinking and dem bless de wife fuh kidnapping de gyal because Adonis would clean dem out. He mighta clean up GT&T too.
Talk half. Lef half.
