Concerned Guyanese residing in the United Kingdom continued their picketing exercise outside the Guyana High Commission in London, last week, to protest against what they described as the corrupt and racist dictatorship in their homeland.
The latest exercise was conducted last Thursday and although the gathering was fewer than the initial protest, organisers said that it was effective.
The protestors were able to get their message across by distributing leaflets to the High Commissioner and staff of the commission, lots of curious and interested passersby and the British police who were particularly interested in the photograph of tortured teenager Tywon Thomas.
Organisers said that the struggle for human rights, race equality and justice in Guyana will continue.
