As the clock tolls away the seconds to the kickoff of the Fifth Annual Inter-Market Knockout football competition, scheduled for the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue Georgetown, another corporate entity has acquiesced to a lucrative sponsorship deal to facilitate the successful staging of the tournament.
Yesterday, Toolsie Persaud and Group of Companies Limited proved that it is indeed a good corporate citizen when management of that company handed over a cheque valued at over $40, 000 to coordinator of the competition, O’Neil Durant to offset the tremendous expense necessary for a qualitative tournament.
Mr. Durant collected the cheque from Director Vinod Persaud in the presence of Sales and Marketing Officer Paul Ramdehol and thanked them both for the timely gesture. He was extremely delighted with the timely contribution and told the two executives just that. He has since promised to stage an action packed programme but has lamented the paucity of adequate sponsorship. Mr. Durant is appealing to the business community to support the competition by donating cash or kind.
In response, Mr. Ramdehol stated that his company was happy to be part of this edition. He also promised to render support for this and other tournaments of a similar nature, in the future.
