Giftland Office Max has continued their support for the development of sports in Guyana with the donation of a set of track pants to the Media Cricket team ahead of their match on July 4 against West Demerara’s Mc Gill Superstars.
This feature game will be played just before the Final of the massive DJ Stress four-team 20/20 tournament competition at the Guyana National Stadium. Moosie Cricket Club of Trinidad is one of the teams involved while West Indies Captain Chris Gayle is expected to also be on show in the Day/Night affair which includes all of Guyana’s top cricketers. Marketing Manager Compton Babb in handing over the track pants stated that they {Giftland Office Max}are always proud to be identified with sports and its development in Guyana. “We are proud to be supporting the media for this game on July 4. We are hoping that this event can be annually so that we can contribute on a wider scale to the team. We are also hoping that the Media team can participate in other events like volleyball, basketball and football.”
Babb also wished the team well. Manager/player of the Media team Franklin Wilson expressed thanks to Babb and Giftland Office Max for their contribution and promised that the team will make them proud.
The Media team, captained by Sean Devers, will have a practice session this morning at the indoor nets at the Chetram Singh Centre of Excellence at LBI. The team is made up of players from the print, broadcast and electronic media.
