The nation’s top amateur boxers will resume competition tonight following last evening’s open night in the Guyana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) National Intermediate Boxing Championships at Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH).
Among those vying for top honours over the two nights are boxers from the Harpy Eagle gym including junior/flyweight Ansela Norville (female), Flyweights Devon Allicock and Imran Khan, bantamweight, Kevin Allicock, lightweight Stephon Gouveia and junior welterweight Tony Singh.
Boxers from the Republican Boxing Gym made a grand return to national tournaments when they managed to share top honours with the Guyana Defense Force in the earlier staged National Novices Boxing Championships. Their star, Nankumar Singh had carted off the best boxer award and would be nurturing similar ambitions in this tournament.
Patrons are asked to support the boxers as they show off their wares tonight.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
