Hot Shots Domino team, led by a sterling contribution of 18 games by Mr. F. Prince, amassed 78 games to cart off the honours when the South Turkeyen Sports Committee, in collaboration with organizer, Johnny ‘Overseas’ Barnwell staged a domino competition at the Julian’s Hideout Guinness Bar, Mahaicony to usher in Father’s Day over the past weekend. Fighter’s Domino team scored ten games less than the winners to occupy the second place while the Rest Domino team amassed 60 games to close off the podium spots. Later in the day the respective winners received trophies and other prizes donated by ACDA.
Meanwhile, the finals are scheduled for today, Monday 22 and Wednesday 24, June. These matches would be played at the Guyana Legion’s Hall, Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown. Matches commence at 19:00hrs each night.
Teams competing are the Guyana Legion, NCN, Royals, Edward Beharry, Guyoil, NIS and the Ex GDF Association.
Trophies and other prizes were donated by Go Invest Guyana Ltd, Trophy Stall, Neil Kumar, and the NSC. Cash prizes were donated by Marketing Manager of Courts, Delta Airlines and Attorney-at-Law and member of the People’s National Congress, Basil Williams.
