Dear Editor,
Allow me to have my say on the two recent throwing incidents, firstly the one about the corrosive acid: over 40 years ago a man by the name of Mao Benjamin was found guilty of blinding two sisters in Trinidad and the judge before sentencing him, referred to Mao as a’ monster inhuman form, ‘well any person who will throw corrosive acid on another person behaves like a monster in human form, what wrong Pretipaul Jaigobin could have done to deserve such monstrous attack.
In the other case of throwing feces at Freddie Kissoon, the person who did the act did not ‘look before he leapt’.
If the thrower had stopped to think just a little, he would have held his hand. Just follow the reaction of almost all those who wrote to your letter column on this incident, they lay the blame at the Office of the President because he the President had referred to Freddie as a slime balls so though the President’s office might have nothing to do with the throwing, fingers are still pointing that way so there is where the thrower brought undeserving blame to the President and his office, the thrower cannot be a true support of President Jagdeo.
