Jude Bentley won the feature Open 15-lap race when the Linden Bauxite Flyers Cycling Club staged its Independence Day race meet last Wednesday around the Mining Town.
Bentley powered through to out pace Warren McKay, Marlon Williams, Raymond Newton, Junior Niles, Stewart Grant and Rastaff O’Selmo.
The days event was well attended with a number of riders from Linden and Georgetown participating. The National Milling Company was the major sponsor of the meet along with Mr. Singh and staff of Singh’s Confectionary and residents of Linden. NAMILCO also presented some of their products to the participants during the day’s activity.

The Linden Bauxite Flyers Cycling Club was lunched on December 6, 2009 it was the brain child of Ryan Austin a former junior National Cyclist and a present member of the club.
The club is expressing thanks to Mr. B. Sukhai, Mr. A. Khan and Staff of the National Milling Company, Mr. Singh and staff of Singh’s Confectionary and the residence of Linden who provided sponsorship to make the event a success.
