Football fans and supporters can expect classical and entertaining displays from the 2 teams, both of who are in pursuit of emerging victorious towards improving their respective positions in the points standings.
Leading Camptown’s challenge is the upfront combination of Nigel Codrington alongside Devon Forde, ably assisted by mid-fielders Troy Prescod and Lance Rawlston. Marshalling the defence are Orlando Gilgeous and Leon Muir, with custodian Richie Richards performing duties between the uprights. Responding for the Barticians are Whitney Welcome, Vernon John, Dwayne Duke, Hamley Martindale, Rondell Washington and Kurt Welcome.
Over on the MSC Ground, Linden, from 18; 00hrs in the curtain raiser of the double header, Bakewell ToppXX with 7 points and in the 8th position play bottom of the table Seawall F C on 3 points. At 20:00hrs in feature match Milerock on 12 points and 5th in the standing meet the 6th place Victoria Kings, who has 11.
Spearheading ToppXX’s lineup are Troy Nelson, Charles Rose, Michael Crandon and Trevor Watermon. Leading Seawall’s response are Adami Hoyte, Tonie Lopes, Garlan Lewis and Marvin Griffith.
Milerock’s formidable line up consists of Marlon Maxius, Gerald Whittington, Randy Jerome and Randy Small. The Kings will be relying upon the combination of Aubrey Gibson, Rasleigh Morrison, Kwesi De Souza and Winston Pompey.
First round action will culminate on Wednesday, May 26 with 1 match at the MSC Ground, Linden.
