The Georgetown Chapter of the Forbes Burnham Foundation is set to stage its second annual Youth Week Symposium on Monday May 24 at 16 hrs.
The event will be hosted at the National Library Conference Room under the theme, “Unemployment and its effects on the Youth Population of Guyana”.
Former Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Simpson DaSilva, will be delivering the feature address.
The Forbes Burnham Foundation is a non-governmental organisation established with the aim of promoting the life works and achievements of the late President of Guyana to dispel the negative information being peddled, and to contextualize his actions and policies.
Linden Forbes Sampson Burnham was born February 20, 1923 and died on August 6, 1985.
He was Guyana’s premier from 1964 until his death, as the Prime Minister from 1964 to 1980 and as President from 1980 to 1985.
