Play in the Trophy Stall-sponsored Guyana Lawn Tennis Association Doubles Tournament is expected to conclude today, at the Guyana Pegasus Hardcourts.
Three matches including the Mixed Doubles and the Men’s finals will be played weather permitting.
According to a release from the Organisers the tournament should have ended last weekend, but due to the inclement weather it was re-scheduled until today.
As a result of this development, the GBTI Open which should have started this weekend has been put back by one week.
Today’s schedule of play is as follows, starting at 09:00 hrs the second semi final of the mixed doubles between Ezra Sue-Ho/ Shawna Gentle v Gilbert Barckoy/Grace McCalman. The umpire is Duane Lopes.
The winner of this match will face the combination of Phillip Squires/Aruna Ramrattan, while at 18:00hrs the Men’s final P. Squires/Godfrey Lowden v G. Barckoy/Leyland Leacock.

Girls’ finals: A. Ramrattan & S. Gentle def N. Ramdyhan & K. Sukra 7-5/6-7/7-5
Boys’ finals: D. Lopes & G Lewis def S Longe & S Longe 6-7 / 6-1 / 6-2
Men’s 55 & over finals: M Fox & S Surujbally def. F McLean & B Fung 6-1 / 6-1
Men’s 45 & over final: Omar Persaud & G Lowden def Maxie Fox & Steve Surujbally 6-2 / 3-0. Surujbally retired.
Men’s 35 & over: Don Singh & Sanjeev Datadin won round robin 2 games to nil.
Jagdeo giving Exxon 102 cent to collect 2 cent.
