Timehri, St. Mary’s and Kuru Kuru were among the latest winners in this year’s Primary Schools Windball Cricket Championships which continued recently at the Timehri Red ground.
In results of matches played:
(Girls)-
Timehri defeated Kuru Kuru by 8 wickets.
Kuru Kuru batted first and made 43-0 with Sonia Williams hitting 21.
In reply, Timehri reached 44-2 with Dacia Murray 25 and Shonice Singh 13, being the principal scorers.
St. Mary’s then beat Supply by 5 wickets.
Supply posted 37-0 after the allotted 5 overs.
St. Mary’s in their response ended on 38-5 with Alceon Selman stroking 11.
(Boys)-
Kuru Kuru compiled 86-1 with Reon McPherson 46 and Kevin Glasgow 13.
Timehri in their turn at the crease were restricted to 63-2. Junior Ramnauth made 41, while Sheldon Robert supported with 10.
St. Mary’s beat Supply by 10 wickets.
Supply made 39-2. Omar Benjamin stroked 24.
St. Mary’s in reply, closed on 42-0 with Trevon Gallay top-scoring with 31.
Kuru Kuru registered a 23 runs win over Timehri.
