St. Anne’s, Covent Garden, Providence and Grove were the latest winners in the Seerja Construction Company/Al Sport & Tour Promotions Primary Schools Windball Cricket Championships which continued on Friday, at Grove Playfield.
In the day’s full results: (Girls)-
St. Anne’s defeated Eccles by 34 runs.
Taking first strike, St. Anne’s rattled up 66-3 off the allotted 6 overs with Tishanna Gravesande 17 and Chantel Moore 10, being the only players to reach double figures.
Eccles in reply, was restricted to 32-0. Crystal Inniss made 20.
Covent Garden then beat Academy of Professional Studies (APS) by 10 wickets.
APS made 43-1 with Shanee Moore hitting 10.
Covent Garden replied with 44-0. Lashanna Phillips stroked 20, while Lacresha Patterson contributed 14.
(Boys)-
Providence registered a 12-run win over Peter’s Hall.
Providence made 47-2 with Bindra Buckley 11 and Justin Gordon 10, being the principal scorers.
Peter’s Hall reached 35-4 when the overs expired. Christopher Jagdeo made 10.
Covent Garden beat St. Anne’s by 5 runs.
Covent Garden compiled 73-2 with Clement Sardinha 26, Daniel Mohan 20 and Parsram Singh 13, the top-scorers.
St. Anne’s replied with 68-2. Akeem Duncan made 25.
Grove scored an easy 10 wickets win over APS.
APS posted a paltry 23-9. Ryan McCalman hit 10. Dexroy Williams snared the first hat-trick of the competition, ending with figures of 4-4, while Ganesh Samaroo took 3-3 and Marlon Livan 2-10.
Grove in reply, reached 25-0 off 1.3 overs. Joel Dick made 17.
