As police try to piece evidence together to find the killers of Junior Richards called ‘Non-stop’ they are yet to make any arrest.
A source close to the investigation has indicated that they are working on the theory that the man had invited someone close to him to his home for a meal and it may have been then that he met his demise.
This newspaper was told that the police are currently checking phone records to see who was in contact with Richards prior to his death.
On Wednesday last, police were alerted that the businessman’s bloodied body had been found in a bedroom in the upper flat of his two-storey house in Eccles, East Bank Demerara.
The man who owns Le Rich apartments and Le Rich Imports, was found with his head bashed in and his throat slit.
Two clay bricks and a knife were removed from the man’s house.
The discovery was made by some of the man’s employees who were frantically searching for him after he failed to turn up at either of his places of business. There was no sign of forced entry to the building.
