Trinidad and Tobago IFBB Professional Bodybuilder Candice Carr-Archer is set to ignite the Cultural centre stage on Sunday May 2nd at the Second Hugh Ross Classic Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship, sanctioned by the Guyana Amateur Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation.
Carr-Archer who is a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force is the current reigning Central American & Caribbean 55kg and Overall Champion in the Masters Category which she won in Grenada last year. She was also the 1st runner-up at the 2009 T&T National Body Building Championships.
The knowledgeable Carr-Archer who loves karate and is the holder of a Black Belt (Shotokan) has a wealth of experience in the sport and has competed across the globe in her 12 year career to date.
She has participated at the World Amateur Bodybuilding & Fitness Championships in Santa Susanna, Spain in 2007 after capturing respective first places at the National level and Eastern Caribbean Championships which were also held in T&T.
Carr-Archer also won Eastern Caribbean titles in 2006 (Anguilla) and 2003 (T&T). She was among the top 10 finalists nominated for the National Sports Award in 2003 and placed first among the junior’s at the National Body Building Championships in 1999.
The second HRC Bodybuilding & Fitness Championships is anticipated to be bigger and more competitive with over 40 athletes’ fine tuning preparations for the event on May 2nd at the National Cultural Centre beginning at 19:00hrs.
An exhibition featuring displays of products and services offered by the various sponsors of the event including GT&T Cellink, Banks DIH Guinness, International Pharmaceutical Agency, Fazia’s Collection, Boxers Variety Store and Ming’s Products & Services among others will begin at 17:30hrs. Tickets are on sale at the National Cultural Centre at $1,000, $1,500 and $2,000.
