The Berbice selectors have made three changes to their team to face Essequibo in the opening round of the GTM under-19 fifty-over competition tomorrow at the Blairmont ground in West Berbice.
The Demerara selectors have also made changes to their team which won the three-day version of the GTM series yesterday but have struck with their three-prong pace attack.
Demerara will face Essequibo at Anna Regina on Wednesday.
While the other two teams have been named, Essequibo, on the back of their embarrassing delaying tactics which denied Berbice a chance of an outright win in their three-day game in Region 2 and the deplorable condition of the media centre at Anna Regina which deemed it unfit for use during the GTM match in Essequibo, are yet to make their team public.
The Asif Amhad led Essequibo Cricket Board (ECB) continues to lag behind the other county boards in Guyana and it is hoped that the Anna Regina media booth, which was built with vital GCB funds will be operational and ready for media use if the ECB wants to hosts matches at that venue.
The Berbice One-Day team read: Harrinarine Chattergoon (Captain), Dominic Rikhi, Jomal LaFluer, Andrew Denis, Sherwin McPherson, Mark Leith Collis Cort, Lloydel Lewis, Shawn Pereira, Keon Joseph, Raun Johnson, Kevin Ramdeen, Clifton Pestano, Raffel Estriado.
Promising off-spinning all-rounder Shaquelle Willaims, leading under-15 batsman Bryan Sattaur and talented batsman Mark Anthony Rhobe are among the new faces in the Demerara squad which is expected to have a practice session at the Police ground from 13:00hrs tomorrow.
The Demerara team read: Dexter Solomon (Captain), Quincy Ovid-Richardson, Bryan Sattaur, Alex Romalho, Arif Habib, Kwame Crosse, Mark Anthony Rhobe, Delroy Charles, Amir Khan, Medha Dhanpaul, Shaquille Williams, Andre Stoll, Seon Daniels, Daryl Ross. The stand-bys: D Roopnarine, V Dhaniram, C Surat, S Fazal, C Hyman, K Yadram, R Nanan
