The 2010 T/20 Cricket World Cup begins in Guyana April 30 with the Opening celebrations and a double-header which involves the West Indies playing Ireland from 17:00hrs in the first ever International match under lights at the Guyana National Stadium.
Mr Vegas and Fay-Ann Lyons were recently in Guyana to perform the theme song ‘Bring It’ at the Edge nightclub in Georgetown and especially with the high intensity IPL matches being shown everyday on two TV stations in Guyana, the T/20 fever is getting stronger in Guyana and already all tickets for the first two days of matches in Guyana have been sold out.
Sri Lanka play New Zealand in the first match of the competition at Providence from 13:00hrs before West Indies face Ireland on April 30.
Sri Lanka face Zimbabwe from 09:30hrs on April 3 in the next game in Guyana while West Indies face England the same day from 13:30hrs.
The final day of cricket in the Guyana leg of the competition, which concludes on Sunday May 16 with both the men’s and women’s final in Barbados, is set for May 4 when New Zealand play Zimbabwe and England play Ireland at Providence.
While both days involving West Indies matches have been sold out there are still tickets available for May 4 and tickets can be had from the Guyana Cricket Board office from Monday to Friday between 09:00hrs to 16:00hrs.
Tickets cost US$5 for the mound, US$10 for stands and US$65 for the Party Stand. However, Party Stand tickets for all the three days are no longer available.
