The Guyana Cricket Board’s Cricket Development Committee will be hosting a one day work-shop for Managers and potential Managers on Sunday March 28 from 08:45hrs to 15:00hrs at the Guyana Cricket Board Secretariat at Bourda.
Registration commences at 09:00hrs for twenty-seven participants chosen by the three County Boards before Breakfast is taken at 09:30hrs.
The participants are expected to be welcomed by GCB Cricket Development Officer and Work-shop Coordinator, Reon King, the former West Indies Test pacer, while the Opening remarks will be delivered by the Chairman of the CDC and GCB Vice-President Bissoondyal Singh.
The facilitators are Terry Holder, Noel Adonis and Ivor O’Brien and group discussions– Styles of Managers, Control of Players, Supervision, How to handle/solve Problems, Motivations, Discipline and Knowledge of the Rules will be conducted. There will be a break for lunch at noon and meals will be provided by the Guyana Cricket Board.
The Closing remarks will be done by the secretary of the CDC, Ron Legall while the Vote of thanks will be done by a participant.
The GCB has informed that the Cricket Development Committee has installed a technical team that is now part of the CDC.
The team is headed by GCB’s CDO Reon King and its members are former Test off-spinners Roger Harper and Clyde Butts along with former First Class batsmen Neil Barry and Mark Harper.
Potential Managers for the Guyana Squads must participate in this GCB CDC work-shop or they will not be eligible for nominations.
