A mother is desperately pleading with members of the public to help her locate her mentally ill son.
The woman, Chandrada Rampersaud, who hails from Pigeon Island, East Coast Demerara, said that her son, 21-year-old Anand Ramsood was last seen on March 12.
Ramsood was by his sister with whom he lived with at Cornelia Ida, West Coast Demerara.
The woman said that at the time her son wearing a red cap, black T-shirt and a pair of blue ¾ pants.
She said this is not the first time that he has disappeared from the family but on each occasion he would contact the family. However, since Friday last he has not been seen or heard from.
She said her son developed mental problems some two years ago after a relationship went sour.
She said that ever since, her son has been on medication for depression. He would often wander off once he comes off the medication.
The woman said that she has contacted almost everyone who knows her son and no one has seen or heard from him.
“No matter what he would at least call me or he sister but he ain’t call nobody,” the woman related.
She said that she has since made a missing report at the Beterverwagting and Leonora Police Stations.
