After six weeks of keen 10/10 softball cricket competition among teams from communities in the counties of Demerara, Essequibo and Berbice, the winner of the one million dollar prize will be decided tomorrow at the Everest Cricket Ground.
Four teams will play in the semi-finals tomorrow and the two winners from that session will contest in the final later on the same day.
The quarter-finals involving the eight surviving teams will be played today at the same venue.
The competition, from its inception, generated widespread interest in communities and groups throughout the country with the registration of 584 teams.
Tomorrow’s matches commence at 12:00hrs and the programme for the day promises to provide a range of entertainment and fun with performances by Chutney Queen Fiona, internationally famous Guyanese artiste Dave Martins, the National Dance Company and Cellink Jingle winners among other forms of entertainment.
The final will be played under floodlights. Entrance is free.
