Shiraz and Shahab Roshandin are the new record holders of the three-hour Endurance Race after they registered 121 laps to erase the old mark of 120 laps during last Sunday’s Guyana Motor racing & Sports Club event, at the South Dakota Circuit.
From a starting grid that saw 24 cars line-up, the Roshandins, who drove a Toyota Levin emerged victorious ahead of a depleted field which ended with just 11 cars.
The overall winners were as follows:
Group A- 1600cc and Below:
1st Place:- Shahab / Shiraz Roshandin.(completed 121 laps )
2nd Place: – Harold Hopkinson / Gavin Gouveia. (completed 109 laps) (3rd Overall)
3rd Place: – David and Navindra Mangar (completed 108 laps)
Group B 1601 to 2000 CC:
1st Place: – Clint Seebaran / Selwyn “Bunny” Persaud (completed 113 Laps) (2nd Overall)
2nd Place: – Saeed Hassan / Harold Veerasammy. (completed 108 Laps)
3rd Place: – Marcel Profit / Jason Gonsalves (completed 104 Laps)
Group C 2000cc and above:
1st Place: – Shane Seebaran and Vishaul Shaw (completed 89 Laps)
2nd Place: – Balwant Persaud / Steven Lorimer (completed 67 Laps)
3rd Place: – Danny Persaud / Anil Persaud (completed 35 Laps)
Fullworks Motor Spares sponsored seven cars for this race meet.
Shiraz & Shahab maintained the Fullworks Trophy.
