The Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Elections of the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) has been set for 1pm on Sunday following the unavailability of most of the relevant stakeholders in the morning.
The activity was expected to take place some time in the morning, however Secretary, Ian Andrews told Kaieteur Sport yesterday that after consulting with the most of the essential participants, the afternoon was deemed more effective. Andrews did not reveal the contents of the slates submitted, if any were, but Georgetown sub-association Secretary, Robert Cadogan had hinted that David Patterson may not be the only candidate for the Presidency.
“I don’t know that he is the only candidate,” he had said, while both Presidents of the sub associations, Trevor Rose and Abdulla Hamid respectively, have declined interest in the contest for the Presidency at the AGM on Sunday.
