Vibert Weekes’ associates held

A female friend of Vibert Weekes is among three people that were taken into custody on the same day of the executed man’s funeral.
Police said that two of the associates were with Weekes when he was gunned down shortly after midnight on Saturday in Robb Street.
But detectives conceded that they have no clear motive about the circumstances that led to Weekes’ murder.
One report that investigators are checking is that the North East La Penitence resident had recently won a substantial sum of money while gambling.
Weekes was also recently involved in an altercation with a city businessman.
The 28-year-old man had just emerged from his car when he was riddled with bullets by a lone gunman.
Some reports stated that the killer was dressed as a woman.
