– DPP has not received file
The female driver of the pick up PLL 2473 who was involved in an accident at New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop, that claimed the life of Alwin Jordan, 54, on December 22, last, has been released on station bail, according to police official.
According to previous reports the file was sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) pending recommendations of charges for the driver of the vehicle who was in police custody.
The Office of the DPP when contacted stated that the file has not yet reached the DPP.
Alwin Jordan, 54, known as John died after the car that he was driving PJJ 6760 slammed head on into a pickup on the New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop.
According to reports, Jordan sustained multiple injuries and succumbed at the West Demerara Regional Hospital.
