Police on the Essequibo Coast are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 30-year-old Queenstown, Sand Reef resident.
Reports out of the area are that the man was last seen alive some time around 07:00 hours yesterday by relatives.
This newspaper was told that the man, Dax Little, left his home under the influence and indicated that he was going to take a bath.
Some time later a passerby saw the man’s body floating in a nearby trench. The police were summoned to the area. The man’s remains were removed and taken to the Suddie Hospital Mortuary awaiting a post mortem examination.
However, a source close to the investigation has stated that there were no marks of violence and they have since ruled out foul play as they continue investigations.
This newspaper has also been informed that the man was an epileptic and may have had an attack at the time he went to take his bath.
Investigations are ongoing.
