The female driver of the pick up, PLL 2473, who was involved in an accident on New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop, on December 22, which claimed the life of Alwin Jordan, 54, is likely to be charged this week.
According to police reports, the file was sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions pending recommendations of charges for the driver of the vehicle who is in police custody.
Alwin Jordan, 54, known as John, who died on December 22 after the car that he was driving, PJJ 6760, slammed head on into a pickup at 22:30 hrs on the New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop.
According to reports, Jordan sustained multiple injuries and succumbed at the West Demerara Regional Hospital. The 54-year-old man worked in the gold mining business and spent most of his time in London, England with his wife and three-year-old son.
