Dear Editor,
Our not-so-friendly roads continue to take lives even as this year wraps up itself. The field of education has lost a scholar who, had she been allowed to, would have done wonders for our education system. I extend deepest condolences to the immediate family, friends, Government, and my colleagues within the education sector on the loss of Minister Desrey Fox. From reports, she was a vibrant, hardworking and down-to-earth person who loved what she did for the people and more importantly the children of Guyana.
Her value to not only the Ministry of Education placed her high above her peers and which saw her making contributions to various facets of life in this country.
In other depressing news, six percent for government workers is a real slap in the face. We will get literally nothing after taxation takes its toll.
