Fruta Conquerors behind a brace each from Travis Savory and Warren Lawrence mauled Uprising when play in the DeSinco Trading sponsored Georgetown Football Association Under-19 tournament continued on the weekend.
Enjoying home advantage, Conquerors were too hot for Uprising to handle. Savory netted in the 9th and 25th minute while Lawrence was on target in the 11th and 24th. Opening the scoring was Paul Bobb in 1st minute of play. Mikael Permaul hit the network in the 7th and Eon Alleyne in eth 17th.
Riddim Squad defeated Flamingo in the lone goal of the game at the Camptown ground compliments of an Amos Ramsey 34th minute effort, while Black Pearl, who failed to show up, handed Alpha United a walk over, and has since been booted from the tournament. This is the second game Black Pearl failed to show up for.
Meanwhile, Riddim Squad and Flamingo have finished their quota of games in the preliminary stages (5 each) with the former booking their quarter-final place having accumulated 9 points (3 wins 2 losses). Flamingo secured a total of 6 points from their 2 wins having lost 3 matches. Northern Rangers with two games to play are yet to register a point in group B.
