Dear Editor,
As in cricket so also is it in life; timing is everything.
Mr. Editor no sooner did the Government of Norway sign this Memorandum of
Understanding with our Government than our President vociferously called on Shell-Oil
Company to commence drilling for oil off the Corentyne. Oil is a fossil fuel – a pollutant – which when burnt does exactly the opposite, as that envisaged by the Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS).
Mr. Editor, thank heaven that the money promised by Norway will not fall into the
hands of Government as presently comprised.
Randolph Joseph Eleazar
