A 33-year-old Guyanese man was shot and killed outside his mother’s home in neighbouring Venezuela Sunday night, his relatives said yesterday.
According to reports, the man, Lakeram Kissoon, was on a business trip to Venezuela. He operated a boat service from Charity, Essequibo Coast.
About six-heavily armed men are said to have attacked Kissoon while he was standing outside his mother’s home in the community of San Felix, Porta Ordaz.
He leaves to mourn his wife, nine-year-old son Ajay and six-year-old daughter Latchmi.
Kissoon was scheduled to return to his residence at Reliance on the Essequibo Coast yesterday. His body is expected to be brought to Guyana.
