Yesterday, several winners of the Republic Bank Visa Travel Money (VTM) promotion were present, along with relatives of those unable to attend, to receive various prizes at the entity’s Promenade Court Branch at New Market Street in Georgetown.
Norvell Fredericks, of Linden, received the first prize of a trip for two to Trinidad and spending money. Celtus Smith, of Kuru Kururu, who was represented by his mother, was awarded the second prize of US$500 which was loaded unto his VTM card.
Vishvanath Doerga, of Corentyne, Berbice, whose brother-in-law was there in his absence, was the recipient of a trip for two to Baganara, while the consolation prize was received by Donovan Yaw of Middle Street, Georgetown.
According to Frederick Rampersaud, the Bank’s Marketing Officer, the VTM JetAway Campaign was launched on the 1st July, 2008, and this year’s promotion began on July 15 and concluded on October 15.
The VTM is a prepaid debit card denominated in US currency and can be used to shop online, for business travels, vacationing and local usage.
“Customers who loaded US$50 and more onto a new or existing VTM card qualified with a chance to win a prize by filling a coupon and submitting that entry to any Branch.” Rampersaud said.
