The two animals replicated their performance at the Norman Singh Memorial Turf Club, scoring convincing victories in the two main events for the ‘C’ Class and the 3 year olds.

The 1700m event saw Sweet Caramel of The Customs Racing Stables setting off at a blistering gallop, initially leaving its competitors in its wake. Sweet Caramel held on for second, a short distance ahead of a fast finishing Miss Republic of the Elcock stables. Cherokee Brother closed off the prime spots.
The 3 years old event, competed over 1700m attracted animals born and bred in Guyana as well as the West Indies. In this event, Night Crescendo, straddled by Kevin Paul of the Crawford Stables, powered to victory to take the $200,000 first prize and trophy donated by Digicel.
It was indeed a competitive event where Night Crescendo and Lady of My Dreams, both from the Elcock stables, with the latter ridden by Ramnauth, battled for supremacy. In the end, it was Night Crescendo who, with a burst of speed, romped home first.
‘Peaceful,’ of the Elcock Stables, then registered the second win for that entity. Expertly guided jockey by Paul Delph, the animal scored a convincing win in the two year event. For the win, Delph carted off the $175,000 first prize and the RCMTC trophy. Monilisa, Miss Bounty and De Gump finished in that order in the 1300m event.

Funny Side then returned to avenge the loss to El Gato with a convincing win in the ‘I’ Class category to cart off $80,000 while Clear Victory and Custom Warrior filled the second and third places.
In the final event, for Unclassified horses over 1100m, a sober ‘Rum Till I Die’ of the Fraser Stable won the $60,000 first prize.
