Digicel Telephone Company was in a truly generous mood yesterday doling out corporate dollars to two organizations.
One of the reports appears in another article in this newspaper where the telephone company donated $200,000 towards the successful staging of the Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club (RCMTC) horse race meet on November 1 next.
Shortly after the handing over ceremony to the above mentioned organization, the telephone company doled out another $100,000 to Zaleena Habibullah to offset the cost of a Rodeo organized by the Rising Sun Rodeo Committee (RSRC). This show is set for tomorrow starting at 11:00hrs.
Ms. Habibullah collected the cheque from Marketing/Communications Manager, Alea McDonald, on behalf of the RSRC even as she expressed gratitude to the management of Digicel for the timely gesture.
She subsequently told media operatives that the event would be filled with exiting features.
Among some of the highly anticipated events are bronco riding, steer roping, milking the wild cow and bull riding.
Female contestants will also vie for honours in the Rodeo Queen championships.
The organizers are urging all Guyanese to witness this event since much fun and excitement are in store for those attending the show.
