The long awaited A Khan Lumber Yard under-19 cricket final between Cornelia Ida [CI] and Parika Warriors will be played this Sunday at Meten-Meer-Zorg West.
The two Zone (B) teams will once again clash, and the Warriors will be out for revenge after CI beat them in the Preliminary round by 6 wickets.
CI’s batting will be led by Vickash Dhaniram, Ameer Khan and Akshya Persaud and the bowling will be spearheaded by Harrinarine Bissoondyal and Salim Mohamed. The Warriors’ batting will hinge on Vice-Captain Michael Goberdhan, Captain Kenworth Smith and Kevon Boodie while the bowling will be led by Edwin Burnette, Elliot Daniels and skipper Kenworth Smith.
The winning team will pocket $25,000 and a trophy while the runner-up will collect $15,000 and a trophy.
The Man-of-the-Match and the batsman with the most runs in the competition along with the bowler with the most wickets will each receive $5,000 and a trophy each.
