Defeat Satro Sports Club in final

Rebel Sport Club defeated Satro Sports Club in the final of the P & P Insurance Brokers & Consultants Limited sponsored 40 overs cricket competition whichw as contested among clubs in the Island of Leguan.
Batting first in the final, which was played last Sunday at Whyte’s Play ground, Satro struggled to 136 all out in 35 overs.
To scorer was Shazaad Razak with an even half century, N. Krishna chipped in with 21.
The main restrictor with the ball for Rebel was Brian Roopchand who returned figures of 4-19, R. Oditt backed up well with 2-12.
In reply, Rebel made light work of the target as they reached 139-5 in 21 overs. M. Jattan led the run chase with a well played 70 while Z.
Razak was the best bowler for the losers with 2-34. At the presentation ceremony which followed, President of the Leguan Cricket Committee Sheik Fazal thanked P & P Insurance Brokers & Consultants Limited for sponsoring the competition.
Mr. Bish Panday, Managing Director of P & P who was present for the final, congratulated both Rebel and Satro for reaching the championship game and also congratulated Rebel on winning the competition.
Panday has committed to sponsoring another competition on the Island.
