Zeeburg and Vergenoegen will meet in final of the Barakat Brother’s West Demerara Cricket competition Sunday October 4 at Meten-Meer-Zorg West ground from 10:00hrs.
The winner will pocket $120,000 and trophy, the runner-up $60,000 and trophy. The Man-of-the-Match in the final will take home $10,000 and a trophy, the batsman with the most runs in the competition will receive $10,000 and a trophy and the bowler with the most wickets in the competition will also collect $10,000 and a trophy.

At Meten-Meer-Zorg West on Saturday September 26:
Zeeburg beat Leonora by 152 runs. Batting first Zeeburg scored 235 all out in 33.2 overs with opener Amit Jairam top scoring with 62 Mandalall Doodnarine made 38 and Azad Azeez 43.
Mahendra Persaud took 4-32 and Marlon Basdeo 3-36 for Leonora who could only reach 83 all out in 22-3 overs in their reply.
Captain Rajin Rahaman top scored with 23. Right-arm medium pacer Chrishurdial Persaud had 4-21 and skipper Mandalall Doodnarine 3-4 for winners.
At Meten-Meer-Zorg West on Sunday September 27:
Vergenoegen beat favorites Windsor Forest by one wicket in the final over. In an exciting match the game was reduced to 35 overs due rain. Windsor Forest scored 228-9. Skipper Mohanram Chaitram made 83 with 6 fours and 2 sixes while Lalta Sukhnanand (42) and Doodnauth Dhanraj (31) also batted well.
Trelon Garraway was the best bowler for the East Bank Essequibo team with 3-47. Vergenoegen in reply reached 229-9 with five balls to spare.
Dwayne Graham made 42, Michael Goberdhan 33, Javid Shafeek 34 and Arnold Padmore 30* and Mark Miller 23 for the winners.
Mohanram Chaitram had 2-56 and Dindial Guyadeen 2 -26 for Windsor Forest in a losing cause.
