Unlimited four-wheel super vehicles driven by local Rondell Daby and Surinamese Hanse highlighted the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club Drag Race Meeting last Sunday, at the South Dakota Circuit.
Daby, who drove a red Evolution and Hanse in a Black GMC Typhoon ended the day with one win apiece and were both declared winners.
However, the pair could not contest the final after both vehicles experienced overheating problems. The Red Evolution proved to be the fastest car of the day. Group A driver Shan Seejatan in the Fullworks sponsored Corolla, and Group B Sergio Poeder from Suriname in a Starlet Glanza, along with Group D champion Sanjay Persaud of Sanjay Jewellery led the overall outstanding list.
